I lost my first friend to leukeamia when I was at primary school, she was only 9 years old. Thirty years have gone by, but the family she left behind still feel the pain of her passing very keenly. I have never forgotten her. You have described the affect of losing a sibling with a great deal of understanding. I lost my own brother three years ago and know that I would never have got through the devastation and heartbreak without the support of my friends. When you lose someone so precious it really makes you appreciate the friends and family that mean the most to you. It prompts you to tell people how special they are.
